My Glastonbury Sober Diary
I celebrated my first 365 days of sobriety by going to Glastonbury SOLO!
I was invited to keep a sober diary by the editors of The Guardian, which was exciting and of course I said yes.
During my life at this point I wanted to go outside of my comfort zone, I had up until this point detested my own company, I just wasn't a friend to myself and I knew if I were to live the life I wanted in my future I had to be ok in my own company. It really did help. Read it here
Speak You - Speech
As part of my healing journey, this was the first time I pushed myself to improve my public speaking. All my life I have known I want to speak on stages and so I completed Anna Lempier's Speak You course. It culminated in us, a small group of women standing up in front of an audience and delivering the speeches we had been preapring over the course of three months.
This was the first time I had ever shared my story with strangers, and it was at that time talking around a registered charity I had launched to reduce shame and stigma around alcohol addiction. I no longer run this charity but the experience was amazing and I know from here I can do great things.
My self employment & start-up story
When I launched my first business Little Fish Event Management one of my exhibitors were My Accountant friend, they proposed to film my story in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire which is where my self employment journey and first events began.

Overcoming Postnatal Depression and Addiction
Toni Eastwood OBE has been a connection of mine for quite some time on Linked-in. I was really excited when her team reached out for me to take part in her new Podcast series, Women on Purpose.
I spoke open and honestly around my experiences of business failure, postnatal depression and so much more. I am always happy to bear my soul, I am open, honest and never feel shy about my experiences. So this was cathartic and a wonderful experience. Listen here

talking clarity with sue
I had so much support when I launched this Charity, I really is shame it exists no more. Sue is another sober friend of mine and a content creator and healing event hostess. Sue launched her Tickle Time Podcast and I was lucky enough to be invited to contribute. Listen here.
